The sausage soup recipe was in a long ago newsletter that I saved. Sunday seemed the perfect day for a new soup and this one will be a regular at my house. Easy to make, not fussy, accessible ingredients and DELICIOUS. I'm sure they can retrieve a copy for you if you stop at the store.

It would probably be a bit of an overstatement to say I was bitterly disappointed this morning to find that cinnamon buns weren't offered. I wept just a little and settled on a new item, raspberry chocolate scones. Now I'm purring like a kitten. They are soooooo good. Another triumph Rooster Brother.

At the risk of sounding like the president of the Rooster Brother fan club I just have to say that a pound of their fabulous chicken salad, a pound of coleslaw and/or potato salad, four square sandwich rolls and a chilled bottle of white wine puts supper on the table for four people in about five minutes. And, depending on wine, you\'ll spend a lot less than $30. Fresh, homemade, affordable and FAST!

Everytime George and Pamela Elias add a new breakfast item I think there won't ever be a better one....but there always is. Today I tried their cinnamon croissant. YUM. Mike said that it wouldn't be too sweet, or too cinnamony, and that the doughy goodness would shine through. I can't say it better. Thankfully they didn't have their raspberry croissants today so I didn't have to choose.
