MIDDLETON, N.H.Gloria June Wade, “June,” was 88 years young when she passed away surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Ena Manning and Irwin Moore.

COLUMBIA and GREAT GUANA CAY, BAHAMAS — Jeanne St. André Merkel, 83, of Columbia and Great Guana Cay, Bahamas, died June 13, 2013, in her Columbia home, surrounded by her children. Jeanne was the author of “Nine Boats & Nine Kids,” founder of Pine Tree Day Nursery in Riverhead, N.Y., and of Halfway Brook campground in Bernard. She was an avid gardener, reader, boats-woman and dancer, affectionately known as the “Dancing Queen” of Great Guana Cay.

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Maxine M. (Stanley) Clark died June 10, 2013, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Feb. 20, 1924, at home in Seawall, the daughter of Albra (Staples) and Leverett Sherman Stanley.
