CASTINE — The community is invited join the Castine Historical Society and the Adams School at the society’s Mitchell Room on Monday, May 20, to observe middle school students test their knowledge of local history in the Castine semifinals for the regional Maja Trivia game.
ACADIA NAT'L PARK — Volunteers from the Atlantic Oceanside, Bar Harbor Inn, Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Acadia Corporation and Friends of Acadia joined forces on Friday to do a spring cleanup of trash along the Cadillac Mountain Road in Acadia National Park.
BAR HARBOR — Individuals age 18 and over are invited to participate in MDI YMCA water fitness classes. Running through June 8, there are three pool exercise classes offered.
BAR HARBOR — A new half marathon organized by the MDI YMCA is scheduled to take participants through parts of Acadia National Park on June 2.

BAR HARBOR — Two town councilors will run for reelection this spring in uncontested races. Incumbent councilors Paul Paradis and David Bowden returned all necessary items by the filing deadline. Resident Andrew Keblinsky had taken out papers but they were not returned by the deadline, leaving him out of the race.
