CASTINE–Alexa Barry (Rindge, N.H.) posted 21 points and seven rebounds to lead Bowdoin to a 74-48 win at Maine Maritime Wednesday evening. The victory was the Polar Bears (13-5) fifth in as many meetings with the Mariners (8-8), improving Bowdoin's record to 8-1 in the series.

CASTINE – Maine Maritime first-year center, Rebekah Campbell (Corinth) added to her honors in the wake of a solid week of basketball. Already named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week, Campbell was named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Rookie of the Week when the organization released its honors on Tuesday.

CASTINE – Maine Maritime senior guard, Maggie Smith (Bath) was named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. First-year forward, Crystal Clark (Chelsea) was named to the Rookie of the Week Honor Roll.

FARMINGTON — Emma Morrison (Saco) scored nine points in the final 2:04 to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 49-45 comeback win over Maine Maritime Academy in North Atlantic Conference women's basketball action this afternoon at Dearborn Gymnasium.

FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington overcame Maine Maritime Academy's torrid shooting as the Beavers claimed a 63-58 victory over the Mariners in North Atlantic Conference men's basketball action today at Dearborn Gymnasium.

CASTINE — Sam Goda (Eliot) scored 23 points and pulled in nine rebounds to lead Maine Maritime to a 78-45 win over Thomas College in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball Thursday evening.  Goda was one of four Mariners (8-6, 5-3) to score in double figures as MMA rolled to its 17th consecutive win over the Terriers (2-13, 2-7 NAC).

CASTINE — Martin Cleveland (Portland) recorded a 16-point, 10-assist double-double to lead Thomas College to a 79-50 win in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball action Thursday evening. Cleveland was one of three Terrirers (9-5, 6-3 NAC) to score in double figures in the wire-to-wire win over the Mariners (2-13, 1-8 NAC).

CASTINE — Maine Maritime Academy Director of Athletics, Eric Sabean, announced the appointment of Adam Sherman as the Mariners' Head Lacrosse Coach. Sherman, who has served on the Academy's football staff since last July, will assume his new duties immediately. He will also retain a role with the football program.

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon cut a 20-point halftime deficit down to nine midway through the second half, but could not sustain the momentum long enough to avoid a 57-46 loss to Maine Maritime Academy.

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Ben Sackett scored 14 points – including the 1,000th of his career as Lyndon defeated Maine Maritime Academy 81-56 Saturday. The win was the first of the year for the Hornets.

JOHNSON, Vt. — Visiting Maine Maritime Academy received 51 points from seniors Sam Goda (Eliot) and Maggie Smith (Bath) to key a 71-54 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball victory over Johnson State on Friday night at Carter Gymnasium.  JSC now stands at 3-10, 1-6 NAC while the Mariners even their record at 6-6, 3-3 NAC.

JOHNSON, Vt. – Johnson State College used a 55% field goal shooting effort to fuel a 73-53 North Atlantic Conference men's basketball victory on Friday at Carter Gymnasium over Maine Maritime Academy.  The Badgers improve to 3-10, 3-4 NAC while the Mariners slip to 2-11, 1-6 NAC.

CASTINE — A power outage in Castine with 1:01 remaining in the first half led to North Atlantic Conference women's basketball play between Maine-Farmington and Maine Maritime to be suspended during play.

CASTINE — Ben Johnson (Manchester) posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double and a pair of blocks to lead Maine-Farmington to a 62-49 win over Maine Maritime Academy Tuesday evening. Johnson was one of three Beavers (6-5, 7-0) to finish the game with double digits in the points column, keeping the Beavers unblemished in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play.

She was named to the The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBA) Co-Player of the Week, as well as the New England Women's Basketball Association  (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts last week.

CASTINE — New England College's women pulled away late to secure a 53-38 North Atlantic Conference (NEC) victory Saturday evening. The Pilgrims (11-1, 5-1 NAC) dominated the final 10 minutes of play, outscoring the Mariners (5-6, 2-3 NAC) 20-9 to rebound from their first setback in league play.

CASTINE — New England College had four players score in double-figures as the Pilgrims handed Maine Maritime a 69-62 setback in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball on Saturday.  The Pilgrims (3-8, 3-3 NAC) converted the Mariners' (2-9, 1-4) 24 turnovers into 22 points to secure the conference win.

CASTINE — Sam Goda (Eliot) needed five points to become the seventh woman at Maine Maritime Academy to score 1,000 points in her career. The Mariners' senior dumped in 27 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Maine Maritime (5-5, 2-2) to a 68-59 win over Colby-Sawyer, handing the Chargers (8-3, 4-1) their first setback in North Atlantic Conference play in the process.
