MAIDEN, N.C. and OTIS — James S. Collinsworth, 70, of Maiden, N.C., and Beech Hill Pond, Otis died Nov. 1, 2012, after a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 14, 1942, to Cletta B. and James L. Collinsworth in Paradise Township, Ill.
ELLSWORTH — Eleanor “Ellie” Aldrich Vittum, 79, of Ellsworth, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1933, in Laconia, N.H., daughter of the late Lewis N. and Marguerite (Elliott) Aldrich.
BAR HARBOR — Isabela “Billie” (Corry) Marshall, 86, died Nov. 4, 2012, at home in Bar Harbor, surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of William H. and Mary Loretta (Crowe) Corry.
BAR HARBOR — Donald Edward Smith was born Jan. 2, 1928, and passed away Oct. 26, 2012, at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor, from complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
WINTER HARBOR — Barbara L. Crowley, a longtime resident of Hancock County, passed away at the age of 82, Saturday, Oct, 27, 2012, in Ellsworth. Barbara was born March 11, 1930, to Walter and Ruby (Young) Leighton in Bass Harbor.
SORRENTO — Eva Lillian Morse, 95, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Golden Acres Home, Franklin. Eva Lillian was born Eva Fickett May 6, 1917, in Farmington, the daughter of Arthur E. Fickett and Eva Crocker Fickett.
BAR HARBOR — Theodore “Teddy” Redgate, 92, died Sept. 18, 2012, at his residence in Bar Harbor. He was born June 11, 1920, in Yonkers, N.Y., the son of Carl and Mildred Redgate.
ELLSWORTH — Hobart “Hobie” Joseph Sackett died Oct. 25, 2012, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 8, 1934, at Woodbridge, Conn., to Charles and Florence (Riley) Sackett.
