FRANKLIN — Wayne Anthony Phelps died unexpectedly of heart failure Aug. 21, 2014, at Donnell Pond with his daughter by his side. He was born Feb. 14, 1950, in Bar Harbor, the son of John and Virginia “Gigi” Phelps of Northeast Harbor.

BUCKSPORT — Derek Anthony Fish, 24, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, from injuries sustained in a work accident.  He was born Jan. 17, 1990, in Bangor, the son of Robert and Rosie (Stevens) Fish.

ELLSWORTH — Gena Marie (Wescott) Goodwin, 53, of Ellsworth passed away Aug. 28, 2014, at a local hospital, with her son Craig by her side after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Gena was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of the late Thaddeus “Ted” and Pauline Wescott.

altSOMESVILLE —Witt Kennon Cochrane III died peacefully Aug. 28, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife and children in Bangor. Ken was born April 28, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Witt K. Cochrane II and Joyce Palmer Cochrane.

FRANKLIN — Raymah Marion (DeBeck) Macomber Leavitt, 91, passed away peacefully Aug. 26, 2014, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth. She was born Dec. 3, 1922, at the DeBeck homestead in West Franklin, during a snow storm, the eighth child of Percy and Jessie (Long) DeBeck.

altHONOLULU, HAWAII Frederick Friebele Dupree Jr., a Cambridge-based real estate developer, died in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 31, 2014. Born Aug. 22, 1931, in Santa Monica, Calif., he was 82. He was the son of Dr. Frederick Friebele Dupree Sr. and Caroline Henderson Dupree.

BLUE HILL and WHEATON, MD. — Virginia Mae Firmin Olund, 90, died peacefully Aug. 24, 2014, after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 25, 1924, in Washington, D.C., to Elsie Mae (Monroe) and John Clingan Firmin.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Katherine A. Bradbury, 72, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. She was born in Rochester, N.Y., to parents John R. and Margaret Storan.

altBROOKLIN — William Henry Fenn, 84, died Aug. 21, 2014, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Bangor, the son of Mary Cushman Fenn and William H. Fenn III.
