BAR HARBOR — In a white-knuckle finish, the Central High School Lady Red Devils squeaked a win over the Mount Desert Island Trojans softball team 4-3, at MDI on Monday.

BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School baseball team tore out to a 5-0 lead by the third inning in their game against the Central High School Red Devils on Monday. A slight mid-game slump did nothing to thwart the Trojans, as they hoped to end the game by mercy rule in the fifth, but the Central Red Devils held on until the seventh before MDI walked away with the 11-3 win.

DEER ISLE — Britnie Jones drove in five runs with a triple, double and single to lead the Mariners in a 22-4 romp over the Searsport Vikings on Monday.

MILLINOCKET — Lona Sargent homered and doubled and combined with Tashia Daley to pitch a four-hitter as the Tigers rolled over the Lady Minutemen of Stearns 15-3 in five innings on Monday.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Foxcroft Academy Ponies downed the Eagles 8-5 on Monday.

ORONO — It took 11 innings, but the Orono Red Riots came up with the tying and winning runs to edge the Eagles 7-6 on Monday.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Righthander John Carlin turned in another strong pitching performance for the Eagles, allowing just two hits and striking out six in a 12-0 shutout over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Monday.

ORONO — Righthander Nick Saunders pitched a complete game three-hitter and drove in the winning run as the Eagles edged the Orono Red Riots 3-2 on Monday.

BAR HARBOR — Sam Stewart pitched a five-hitter and Nolan Hall and Dennis O’Neil each drove in two runs as the 3-6-1 Trojans rolled to an 11-3 win over the Central Red Devils on Monday.
