BANGOR — Swimmers from John Bapst High School were the last opponents to be swept aside by Mount Desert Island High School swimming team this regular season. During the Feb. 1 meet, the MDI boys placed first in all but two events for the overall win.
BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School boys’ varsity basketball team sent the Old Town Coyotes scampering during its last home game of the regular season on Jan. 30, beating them 55-44.
Tylor Martin scored 20 points and Tristan Rayner had 13 as the Tigers took an early lead and never let it get away in a 63-45 win over the Searsport Vikings in Searsport.
