Michael W. Pierce

LAMOINE — Michael W. Pierce, 56, of Lamoine died July 15, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 20, 1957, in Bangor, a son of Dave and Constance (Young) Pierce Sr.

Michael grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and graduated from Diamond High School in Anchorage. He worked for the U.S. Civil Service as a service tech and warehouse man. After returning to Maine, he worked as a bridge maintenance worker for the Maine DOT. Michael enjoyed hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He was a member of the American Pool Association.

He is survived by his parents; son, Devon Pierce and fiancée, Amanda Lambeth, of Bucksport; grandchildren, Aiden and Audrina; brother, Dave Pierce Jr. and wife, Cheryl; sisters, Cheryl Ann White and Ed Folsom of Ellsworth, and Linda M. Wolfe of Lamoine; numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at 142 Sugar Hill Road, Molasses Pond, Eastbrook. Contributions in Michael’s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 3415, Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
