Teens take off, tracked to New Hampshire

Written by  Steve Fuller Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:18 am

ELLSWORTH — Two teenagers whose parents reported them missing last week were tracked to New Hampshire.

Friday afternoon, police received reports of a missing 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl.

Officer Chris Smith investigated and determined the two had “fled out of state together and were headed to a specific location.”

That location turned out to be Pittsburg, N.H. Lt. Harold Page said police found the boy had a brother who lives in that town, which is located about five miles from the Canadian border in the northwestern corner of the Granite State.

Smith contacted the local police department there, which found the teens and held them until their parents traveled to New Hampshire to retrieve them.
