ELLSWORTH — The rescheduled Winter Carnival cardboard sledding event, held Saturday morning on the hill at Woodlawn, attracted a small (see: two) but dedicated field of competitors.
Contenders were Grayson Mote on board the yellow “Mote-O-Ski” and Olivia Leighton in “Olivia’s Electric.” Leighton and Mote each received four blue ribbons after sweeping the available categories: fastest, greatest distance, most creative sled and an overall grand prize.
