Eagle Hill Talk Series Continues

STEUBEN — Roz Lowen, a retired mycologist who was an honorary research assistant at the New York Botanical Garden, will be at the Eagle Hill Institute on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 5:30 p.m. to talk about “Plants and Fungi: Friend or Foe.”

The lecture is part of Eagle Hill Institute’s “Summer Evenings Out” lecture/dinner series. Everyone is welcome at the pre-lecture reception, which starts at 5. A post-lecture dinner with the speaker is family-style Italian with sides, dessert and coffee or tea for $15 per person, or just dessert and coffee from the a la carte menu.

In the next talk in the series, Jane Bianco, an assistant curator at the Farnsworth Museum of Art, will talk about “Jonathan Fisher: A Remarkable Renaissance Man of the Early Days of Blue Hill” at Eagle Hill on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 5:30.

The pre-lecture reception starts at 5 and the post-lecture dinner with the speaker is choice of entrée with sides, dessert and coffee or tea for $20 per person, or just dessert and coffee from the a la carte menu. Seating is limited.
