Four Ellsworth-area players received U.S. Tennis Association honors as top-ranked tournament players for 2011 in New England at the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis ATP Championships at the International Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I., last week.

Receiving their medallions at center court between matches were Lisa Smith and Heidi Arey, both of Ellsworth, at 4.0-rated women’s doubles and Anne Dentino of Sedgwick and Karen Robidoux of Ellsworth at 3.5-rated women’s doubles. Smith also was honored as number one in 4.0 women’s singles.
