BAR HARBOR — Friends of Acadia and Acadia National Park invite local and visiting families to attend the sixth annual Acadia Adventures: Family Fun Day.

The event will be held Sunday, July 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Sieur de Monts in Acadia National Park.

Family Fun Day features several activities that are targeted to children and families.

The Island Explorer will provide transportation to the event.

Starting at 12:30, the parking lot at Sieur de Monts will be closed to all traffic except cars with handicapped tags. All Family Fun Day participants are asked to park at Parking Lot A, the lot closest to Sieur de Monts, at the Jackson Laboratory, 600 Main St. in Bar Harbor. Fare-free Island Explorer buses will carry participants to/from the parking area to Sieur de Monts.
