ELLSWORTH — Baseball and softball all-star tournaments continued this week at two age group levels in Little League District 1.

Ages 11-12 Baseball

Coastal 10, Calais 0

Jacob Keenan struck out six batters in two innings and drove in three runs with a pair of singles to least Coastal to a 10-0 win over Calais at Blue Hill on Thursday.

Taylor Schildroth also singled twice and scored three runs, and Gage Clapp singled and drove in two runs for Coastal in the win.

Acadians 6, Bucksport 5

A five-run fifth inning lifted the Acadians of Mount Desert Island over Bucksport 6-5 on Thursday in Bucksport.

Ezra Johnson singled twice for the Acadians and Nick Stanley, Seth Clark and Alden Fournier combined to pitch a seven-hitter.

Tanner Stegner singled twice and drove in two runs and Brody Boynton singled twice for Bucksport.

Ellsworth 7, Acadians 6

A run-scoring single by Bradley Smith helped Ellsworth to a 7-6 win over the Acadians on Saturday.

Smith also struck out six batters in four-plus innings on the mound for Ellsworth, and Sam Giffen contributed a pair of singles to the winning effort.

Alden Fournier doubled and singled to drive in a run for the Acadians.

Coastal 14, Machias 2

Coastal improved to 2-0 with a 14-2 win over Machias on Saqturday in Machias.

Ages 9-10 Baseball

Calais 11, Coastal 8

Calais rallied from a 5-4 deficit, coming up with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, to down 1-1 Coastal 11-8 on Friday in Calais.

Sam Harmon had a two-run double and Grayson Eaton struck out six batters in four innings on the mound for Coastal.

Bucksport 9, Calais 6

Xavier Hamilton singled twice for Bucksport in a 9-6 win to eliminate Calais on Saturday.

Tyler Winchester, David Gross, Danny Gross and Roger Foss each contributed singles for Bucksport.

Ages 9-10 Softball

Ellsworth eked out a 15-13 win over Machias in the opening game of District 1 all-star softball for ages 9-10 on Friday in Ellsworth.

But the Acadians of Mount Desert Island downed Ellsworth 5-2 in action on Saturday.
