BAR HARBOR — The sixth annual benefit Fur Ball for the SPCA of Hancock County will take place at the Bar Harbor Club on Saturday, July 14. The evening will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction with over eighty items to bid on, a three course seated dinner, live auction conducted by Sotheby’s auctioneer Hugh Hildesley, and music by Paul Sullivan’s dance quartet. The event will support the animal shelter in Trenton. The entrance fee is $150 of which $75 is tax deductible.

“We have some very unique auction items this year. One package will feature a “catered cocktail party for 25 people by Diane Bianco,” remarked Jim Nobil, event co-chair. “This will include a chef and personnel with the winner’s choice of four warm appetizers and two stationary. To compliment this package, Max of Blue Hill Wine Shop has donated a case of wine, Jules Tufts will offer 4 hours of bar service with liquor liability, and Lindy Stretch of Fox Field Flowers will contribute large and lovely floral arrangements,” he said The combined value of this package is $900.
