BUCKSPORT — Bucksport’s Cassidy Adams allowed just three hits and struck out eight batters as the Bucksport Golden Bucks rolled to a 10-1 win over the eighth-seeded Lady Minutemen of Stearns in quarterfinal action on Thursday.
The Bucks jumped in front with a run in the first inning and never trailed.
Sadie Wight slammed a home run and drove in three runs. Bailey Blair also drove in three runs with a double and a single and Andie Lawford singled twice to lead the Bucks at the plate.
Ashley Rollins pitched four innings and Kristin Manzon came on in relief for the last two as the Golden Bucks collected eight hits for the day.
Taylor Pelkey doubled and singled and Mikeyla Glidden singled home the only run for Stearns.
