BLUE HILL — A community forum will be held at the Blue Hill Town Hall on Monday, June 18, at 5:30 p.m. to review and discuss the Local Food & Community Self-Governance Ordinance passed by six Maine towns, including four in Hancock County.
The forum is being sponsored by the town of Sedgwick’s Community Self-Governance Committee and the town of Blue Hill.
Presentations by town officials, committee members and the public will cover the basis of authority upon which the Local Food & Community Self-Governance Ordinance is founded and what activities are not covered by the ordinance.
There will be updates from other towns around the state that have taken up the ordinance.
This forum is free and open to the public.
