MILLINOCKET — Schuyler Van der Eb and Will Ricker combined to pitch a two-hit shutout as the ninth-ranked GSA Eagles knocked off the number eight Stearns Minutemen 7-0 in a Class C playoff.
Gavin Rogers singled and drove in two runs, Cooper Smallidge singled with an RBI and Ben Olivari singled and scored a run for the Eagles, who took a 5-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed.
GSA is slated to face the top-ranked Orono Red Riots in quarterfinal action Thursday in Orono.
