Lady Panthers End Trojans Run

WATERVILLE — The MDI Trojans were unable to handle the top-seeded and undefeated Waterville Purple Panthers in Saturday’s semifinal, falling 5-0.

In singles, it was College O’Donnell over Mea Clark 6-1, 6-3; Olivia Lopes over Julia Christie 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6); and Jayme Saulter over Mia Musetti 6-1, 6-3.

At doubles, Lauren Hallenbeck and Emily Dufour downed Madeline Cook and Caroline Brown 6-2, 6-0; and Brittany Saulter and Melanie Bureau bested Dylan Stillman and Allie Stanley 6-2, 6-3.
