BAR HARBOR — In Class B quarterfinal action, the second-ranked MDI Trojan boys eked out a 3-2 win over the number seven Waterville Purple Panthers on Thursday.
Wins for MDI came from Luke Horton over Callum Thomas 3-6, 6-3, 4-0 in first singles; Garrett Lee over Kyle Marrache 6-4, 6-4 at second singles; and Andrew Dalton and Woofie Kaiser over Ilyas Khan and Adrian Rivas 6-4, 6-2 at first doubles.
For Waterville, Will Sennett downed Ian Sampson 6-3, 7-5 in third singles, and Zach Disch and Galen Lichterfeld bested Caleb Cough and Kyle Greaves 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 at second doubles.
