ELLSWORTH — Downeast Business and Professional Women will hold a yard sale on Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 29 Forest Ave.
Proceeds will support the club’s scholarship and outreach programs. Each year Downeast BPW offers a scholarship to a Hancock County high school graduating senior girl. The local organization also supports various scholarships at the state level through its affiliated Futurama Foundation.
In addition, Downeast BPW “fosters” a family within the Next Step Domestic Violence Program in order to offer support and encouragement to women making new starts in their lives. Downeast BPW has been involved with this project for over 20 years.
