ELLSWORTH — Woodlawn will be hosting a paste paper workshop on Friday, May 25, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Paste paper is a type of decorated paper made from a cooked mixture of flour and water, to which paint is added.
The paste is brushed or sponged onto a wet sheet of paper, a process similar to finger painting. Participants will learn how to make and use paste to create the paper, which can be used for various purposes.
The cost is $25 for Woodlawn members and $35 for nonmembers.
Space is limited, so pre-registrations are required by calling Woodlawn at 667-8671.
Woodlawn, in collaboration with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program, will also host a creative container gardens workshop on Saturday, June 2.
The workshop will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
In this workshop, Master Gardener volunteers will teach participants how they can create a plentiful vegetable garden in small spaces.
