SURRY — The monthly meeting of the Surry Community Improvement Association (SCIA) will be held in the Surry School gymnasium on Monday, June 4, at 7 p.m.
A highlight of the evening will be the winners of the middle school speech contest presenting their winning orations.
In addition, Amy Boles, director of the Hancock County Technical Center, will explain the center’s role in supplementing academic programs at area high schools.
In the regular business session, SCIA officers for the coming year will be elected and information will be available on the upcoming SCIA bake and rummage sale to be held July 21.
