EAST MACHIAS — The Ellsworth Eagles scored eight runs in the third inning en route to a 14-9 win over the Washington Academy Raiders on Thursday.
Cristin Wright and Nicole Austin each singled twice and drove in a run and Heather Holt had a pair of singles for the Eagles, who took advantage of eight Raider errors.
Ashley Beam drove in two runs with three doubles and Lauren Roy doubled and singled with an RBI for the Raiders.
