Franklin Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

ELLSWORTH — A Franklin man was arrested Friday on a charge of operating while under the influence of drugs.

Robert Bishop, 34, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 200 in Franklin and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth, where Deputy Larry Fickett performed a drug recognition evaluation. Bishop also was arrested on a charge of operating without a license.

Lamoine Man Summoned

Troopers on May 8 summoned a Lamoine man who allegedly fled the scene of a motor-vehicle accident on Route 3 in Trenton.

Thomas Smith, 22, was located at his home in Lamoine and issued a summons charging him with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. He also was summoned on charges of failure to provide evidence of insurance.

Theft in Franklin

A security officer reported Friday that items had been stolen from a business in Franklin. Police are investigating.

OUI

Peter Hansen, 42, of no given address was arrested Sunday on a charge of operating while under the influence after Trooper Jessica Shorey responded to a crash in Hancock.

OAS

Also on Sunday, Damon Urban, 41, of Blue Hill was summoned on a charge of operating after suspension (OAS).

On Saturday, Anthony Hammett, 28, of Brooksville was arrested on an OAS charge.

Stolen Pickup

A pickup was reported stolen May 9 in Brooklin. No description was given.

Shed Vandalized

Vandalism was reported May 7 to a shed in Township 10.
