Punk scene explored in play

Written by  Fenceviewer Staff Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:51 pm

BAR HARBOR — College of the Atlantic hosts the debut of “My Very Own Flag,” the first play written by Holly Krakowski, about two men in their twenties questioning their futures, and wondering whether the punk values they swore by as teenagers still have meaning.

The play will be performed in the Gates Community Center on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend.

This play “is the story of a friendship between two men in the punk scene in New York City, and how a friendship changes within 24 hours,” said Ms. Krakowski.
