ELLSWORTH — With just two weeks to go in the regular softball season, the Bucksport Golden Bucks and the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners are sailing along with perfect records.
But while the 10-0 Golden Bucks sit atop the Eastern Maine Class C standings, the 8-0 Mariners are ranked only eighth among the teams in Class D.
Four of Hancock County’s six teams appear poised for post-season play. In addition to Bucksport and Deer Isle-Stonington, the 8-4 Ellsworth Eagles are ranked ninth and the 8-3 Mount Desert Island Trojans are 11th in Class B.
