Walls Throws Shutout, PI Wins Game Two

PRESQUE ISLE — Ben Walls pitched a four-hit shutout as the MDI Trojans edged the Presque Isle Wildcats 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Trojans’ lone run came in the seventh inning as Caleb MacDonald and Walls singled, Adam Gray walked and Colin Mooers lofted a game-winning sacrifice fly to right field.

Cam Crawford had a double for the Trojans.

In the 5-4 second game loss for MDI, MacDonald singled and drove in two runs, Walls had an RBI double, Nick Shaw had an RBI single, Mooers doubled and singled, Crawford singled twice and Trevor Alley doubled.
