BLUE HILL — A truck belonging to ISF Trading Co. carrying 100 trays or about 15,000 pounds, of sea cucmbers, know to fisherman as "pickles" from Stonington to Portland capsized on the Mines Road shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday about three and a half miles from the center of Blue Hill.
The six wheeler's front end was destroyed, but the driver and helper were able to walk to the ambulance that took them to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. The cargo didn't spill, but the Maine Department of Environmental Protection was notified about a quantity or brine that leaked from the truck on the ground near a well. A Stonington dealer recovered the pickles on behalf of ISF
