MACHIAS — The Washington Hancock Community Agency (WHCA) plans to open a new office in Machias in June.
The office at 7 VIP Drive will officially open on June 4. The current office located in Milbridge will close on May 31.
The 546-7544 phone number will remain the same. During heating season fuel assistance applications will still be taken in Milbridge and Machias.
The agency says the new office in Machias is more centrally located and will enable it to better serve the needs of Washington County residents.
An open house at the new office is being planned.
