BAR HARBOR — Town councilors met for an executive session for the second time in two weeks on Tuesday to discuss the Appendix C lawsuit brought against the town by resident Dennis Bracale and others.
After the lengthy executive session, councilor Bob Garland made a motion, which was seconded by councilor Peter St. Germain, “to thank Jake Jagel, Dessa Dancy, Dennis Bracale and their attorney Bill Dale for meeting with us in executive session this evening, for participating in our discussions and for their valuable input.” The motion passed 6-0, with councilor Paul Paradis previously recused from the discussions.
There was no explanation offered as to why Mr. Jagel and Ms. Dancy, who are not parties in the lawsuit, were included in the closed-door discussion. Last week, Mr. Bracale and Mr. Dale deposed several town officials on the matter, including town manager Dana Reed, Mr. Paradis, planning board chairman Lynne Williams and planning board member Perry Moore.
