BAR HARBOR — Atlantic Oceanside Hotel owner David Witham has applied to the planning department here for permission to create a parking lot at the site of the tennis courts on the hotel grounds along Eden Street. The proposal includes construction of a 12-by-18-foot booth for ticket sales for Acadian Nature Cruises, which will operate off the hotel’s new pier, which is due to be completed this month.
Planting of trees and shrubs to screen the new parking lot is included in plans. The work is expected to cost $74,000, according to planning documents.
