BANGOR — Eaton Peabody Consulting Group recently added former Bucksport Town Manager Roger Raymond to its group of economic development and municipal consultants.

“Roger brings exceptional experience to the Eaton Peabody Consulting Group,” said Managing Director John Melrose. “Roger is well known and recognized widely for his extraordinary financial skills and forward-looking strategies.”

“I am very excited to join such a well-respected Maine organization such as the Eaton Peabody Consulting Group,” Raymond said. “They provide a natural fit for the next stage of my career.”

Raymond’s experience includes his long tenure as town manager in Bucksport.

“In 1985, I only intended to stay in that position for no more than 10 years, but it turned out to be almost 30 years!” Raymond said with a laugh. “But who’s counting?”

Among Raymond’s accomplishments in Bucksport is the town’s riverfront walkway.

“The waterfront development is right up there among my proudest moments,” Raymond said.

A new treatment plant and sewage systems to stop wastewater from flowing into the Penobscot River were also built on Raymond’s watch.

Raymond received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. He also has received certifications in the following areas: Municipal Treasurer-Tax Collector; Certification-Municipal Law; and Administrator-Community Development Program.

Eaton Peabody Consulting Group is a multidisciplined consulting team that provides services in the following disciplines: association management, municipal management, business development, community assistance and government affairs.
