ELLSWORTH — Righthander Cassidy Adams is a big reason why the Bucksport Golden Bucks have rolled to a 7-0 record and sit atop the Eastern Maine Class C softball standings.
Adams notched three shutout wins in the pitcher’s circle over the past week, allowing just four hits and striking out 36 batters.
With senior righthander Sydney Ouzts leading the way, the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners also remain unbeaten so far with a 6-0 record in Eastern Maine Class D.
