BUCKSPORT — The Bucksport girls placed fourth and the boys seventh in a pair of meets on Monday.
In the girls’ meet for the Golden Bucks, Taylor Ziegler-Miller won the shot put with a throw of 29 feet, 3.5 inches and was third in the javelin with a throw of 84 feet, 9 inches.
Nelly Winship was runner-up in the 1,600-meter run in 5:45.57 and runner-up in the 800-meter run in 2:38.37.
Other girls who scored:
Avalon Langevin was third in the triple jump at 27 feet, 10.5 inches.
Lisa Tapley was fifth in the shot put at 24 feet, 1.5 inches, and fifth in the high jump at 4 feet, 4 inches.
Britney Eberhardt was sixth in the 100-meter dash in 14.30 seconds.
Amber Hall was sixth in the 1,600-meter run in 6:42.85.
The foursome of Hall, Sam Boothby, Olivia Ekeland and Winship was third in the four-by-400-meter relay in 4:55.73.
In the boys’ meet, Eric Davis was fourth in the 400-meter run in 55.99 seconds; Elijah McCarthy was fourth in the 3,200-meter run in 12:34.01; Evan Seekins was sixth in the javelin at 121 feet, 4 inches; Judson Pratt was sixth in the discus at 95 feet, 11 inches; and Paul Fitzgerald was sixth in the shot put at 36 feet, 11 inches.
