BANGOR — Aleta Looker was a double winner and Dan Curts and Tori Huntley both scored individual wins as the Ellsworth Eagle girls and boys both placed third in outdoor track meets at Cameron Stadium on Monday.
In the girls’ meet, it was Bangor the overwhelming winner with 257 points, followed by Old Town 151, Ellsworth 59, Washington Academy 33, Mattanawcook Academy 30, Greenville 15 and Piscataquis 5.
Looker took top honors for the Eagles with times of 5:23.22 in the 1,600-meter run and 12:11.57 in the 3,200-meter run.
Huntley won the javelin throw with a distance of 91 feet, 7 inches and placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 72 feet, 8 inches, and fifth in the shot put with a throw of 26 feet, 10 inches.
Other Eagle girls who scored:
Haley Lawrence was second in the 3,200-meter run in 13:40.33.
Lauren Barkhouse was third in the pole vault at 7 feet, 6 inches, and fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:09.04.
Mallory Nightingale was sixth in the 1,600-meter run in 6:33.03.
Abby Homer was fourth in the high jump at 4 feet, 4 inches.
Lainey Cohen was fourth in the pole vault at 7 feet.
In the boys’ meet, it was Bangor the winner with 241 points, followed by Old Town 83, Ellsworth 81, Mattanawcook 64, Washington Academy 41, Piscataquis 22, Valley 16 and Greenville 6.
For the Eagles, Curts won the 1,600-meter run in 4:35.57 and placed sixth in the javelin throw at 119 feet, 5 inches.
The foursome of Jack Weeks, Maks Grover, Ben Conners and Brandon St. Germain also won the four-by-100-meter relay in 47.11 seconds.
Other scoring for Ellsworth:
Conners was second in the 200-meter dash in 24.62 seconds.
Robert Looker was second in the 3,200-meter run in 10:44.40.
The foursome of Blake Pattengale, Hawes, Looker and Curts was second in the four-by-800-meter relay in 8:36.25.
Kody Holmes was third in the 800-meter run in 2:11.19.
Jack Weeks was third in the pole vault at 8 feet, 6 inches, and fifth in the 100-meter dash in 12.09 seconds.
The foursome of Conners, Jack Weeks, Grover and Matt Fendl was third in the four-by-400-meter relay in 3:56.91.
Derek Hawes was fourth in the 1,600-meter run in 4:47.84.
Jacob Jordan was fourth in the long jump at 17 feet, 1.25 inches.
St. Germain was fifth in the long jump at 16 feet, 6.5 inches.
Jeff Weeks was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles in 48.12 seconds.
Dan Cox was fifth in the shot put at 38 feet, 10 inches, and fifth in the discus throw at 111 feet.
