BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island Trojan boys scored wins in six events, nipping the Brewer Witches by three points to win an eight-team outdoor track meet on Monday.

Team scores were MDI 139, Brewer 136, Orono 117, George Stevens Academy 66, Dexter 50, Sumner 41, Narraguagus 6 and Searsport 4.

Winners for the Trojans:

Brandon Murphy, 24.93 seconds in the 200-meter dash.

Aaron Miller, 5 feet, 2 inches in the high jump.

Chris Clemens, 38 feet, 8 inches in the triple jump.

Jayson Burke, 44 feet, 9.75 inches in the shot put.

Murphy, Burke, Clemens and Richard Helmke, 46.60 seconds in the four-by-100-meter relay.

Clemens, Murphy, Will Richard and Helmke, 3:42.73 in the four-by-400-meter relay.

Benjamin Plohr was a double winner for the GSA Eagles, placing first in the 800-meter run in 2:06.64 and the 110-meter hurdles in 16.95 seconds.

GSA’s River Plouffe Vogel won the 1,600-meter run in 4:41.36.

Also for GSA:

Paul Ferreira was fourth in the 400-meter dash in 58.77 seconds.

Nate Cole was fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:18.85.

Devon Oppedisano was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.03 seconds.

Corey An was third in the triple jump at 33 feet, 7.5 inches, and fifth in the long jump at 17 feet, 3 inches.

The foursome of Ferreira, Philip Shaheen, Vogel and Plohr was third in the four-by-400-meter relay in 3:47.80.

The foursome of Ferreira, Bigo Shen, Cole and Victor Tang was fourth in the four-by-100-meter relay in 50.51 seconds.

For the Sumner Tigers, John San Diego won the 300-meter hurdles in 44.96 seconds and was third in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.36 seconds.

Also for Sumner:

Baramee Janla was third in the 200-meter dash in 25.42 seconds, fifth in the 100-meter dash in 12.40 seconds and sixth in the long jump at 16 feet, 9.75 inches.

Taylor Lee was fifth in the 1,600-meter run in 5:00.31.

The foursome of San Diego, Brandon Wade, Tyler Bae and Janla was third in the four-by-100-meter relay in 49.69 seconds.

The foursome of Lee, Wade, Bae and San Diego was fifth in the four-by-400-meter relay in 3:57.32.

In the girls’ meet, the third-place Trojans dominated in the 1,600-meter run, taking five of the top six places.

Olivia Erickson was the winner in 5:35.62, followed by Maggie Painter, second in 5:38.34; Isabel Erickson, third in 5:39.36; Nora Hubbell, fifth in 5:48.78; and Caroline Driscoll, sixth in 5:51.43.

The foursome of Painter, Driscoll, Evelyn Swan and Rachel McMinimy won the four-by-800-meter relay in 11:02.59.

Isabel Erickson also won the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 8 inches.

Scoring for GSA:

Nicole Bakeman was fourth in 2:40.97 and Alice Dillon was fifth in 2:41.47 in the 800-meter run.

Caitlyn Bray was fourth in the discus at 60 feet, 2 inches.

Emily Coleman was sixth in the high jump at 4 feet.

The foursome of Amanda Moir, Madison Cole, Dillon and Bakeman was fourth in the four-by-400-meter relay in 4:59.73.

The foursome of Anna Ludlow, Abby Andrews, Coleman and Shannon Larkin was fifth in the four-by-100-meter relay in 1:02.24.

Sumner’s Jacqueline Cormier was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles in 58.64 seconds.

In team scoring, it was Brewer the winner with 201.5 points, followed by Orono 160, MDI 123.5, Dexter 53, GSA 21, Searsport 14 and Sumner 1.
