Trojans Crush Crusaders

BAR HARBOR — On Wednesday, MDI swept a doubleheader against Washington Academy.

Facing the Raiders, the Trojan boys won 3-2 and 3-0. At first singles, Luke Horton fell 8-4. At second singles, Garrett Lee won 8-5 and 4-3, Ian Sampson won 8-5 in both matches. At first doubles, Andrew Dalton and Caleb Cough won 9-7 in both matches. Abe Philbrook and Kyle Greaves fell 9-8. And Ronnie Musetti and Luke Krebs won 9-7.

The MDI girls beat Washington Academy 3-0 and 5-0. At first singles Mea Clark won 8-0. At second singles, Julia Christie won 8-1. And in third singles, Mia Musetti won 8-1.

During the second match, Musetti played first singles and won 6-3.

Also in the second game, Hannah Erickson played second singles for MDI and defeated Mary Hayward 8-1.

At first doubles, Dylan Stillman and Allie Stanley scored 8-1 and 8-2 wins. Ivy Wallace and Samantha Krasnow won 8-0 and Madeline Cook and Caroline Brown won 8-0 at second doubles.
