SEDGWICK — Pastor Stephen McFarland and the congregation of Eggemoggin Baptist Church invite the public to attend an unveiling of a historic marker at the Eggemoggin Baptist Church, 334 Reach Road, on Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m.
The Baptist Historical Preservation Society will unveil the marker, which will be placed in memory of Daniel Merrill, founding pastor of the First Baptist Church, Sedgwick, and co-founder of Colby College.
Pastors from across the United States will gather for the unveiling and dedication of a large marker (8 feet tall by 4 feet wide) to honor Merrill.
