Pasquale and Gayle DeCrosta of East Haven, Conn., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Josslyn, to Shawn Grindle, both of Norwalk, Conn. Shawn is the son of Roger and Julie Grindle of Hancock.

Josslyn is a 2001 graduate of East Haven High School in East Haven, Conn., and a 2005 graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., with a degree in journalism. She is employed as a personal assistant to a private home in Greenwich.

Shawn is a 2001 graduate of Ellsworth High School and a fellow 2005 graduate of Quinnipiac University with a degree in media production. He is employed as a coordinator of Media Asset Services at A&E Television Networks in Stamford, Conn.

The couple first met in college and reconnected in the spring of 2010. Josslyn was working as an actress in Los Angeles, where she was featured in several films and commercials, and Shawn was living and working outside of New York City.

The couple plan to wed on Aug. 4 in southern New Hampshire.
