GOULDSBORO — Police were called to an apartment building April 25 following reports that a tenant was demanding that another resident give her a ride.
Police said the woman who was allegedly pounding on her neighbor’s door told them the other woman and her boyfriend were harassing her and that the boyfriend owed her $45.
Police said they told the woman and the couple to stay away from each other.
Drug Take-back Day
Police participated in “National Prescription Drug Take-back Day” April 28.
The event is organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration for residents who want to turn in unwanted, unused prescription drugs.
Police said they collaborated with Milbridge and Winter Harbor police in turning the drugs over to state police in Ellsworth.
Wandering Dog
A 57-year-old woman called police April 29 to say a small brown-and-white dog was sitting on her deck on West Bay Road.
Police said they went to a home a short distance away and the owner told them it was his dog and that it had run away.
Birth Certificate
A Texas woman asked police April 26 to help her retrieve her birth certificate from her former sister-in-law in Gouldsboro.
Police said they left a message for the Gouldsboro woman.
Wallet Returned
Police found a wallet on Pond Road April 5 and returned it to the owner, who lives in Winter Harbor.
Bad Check
A Harrington man complained to police April 20 that his check from Live Lobster Co. Inc. in Prospect Harbor did not clear.
Police said they would turn the matter over to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, which they said has had similar complaints.
Accident Assist
Local police assisted state police April 21 with an accident on Route 1.
