Daniel R. Daigneault, president and CEO of The First, N.A., recently announced the promotion of Jonathan Nicholson to senior vice president, senior regional business relationship officer in the bank’s Bar Harbor office.
“I am pleased to recognize Jon for his exceptional service to The First and to the Bar Harbor community,” Daigneault said. “Over the course of his career at The First, Jon has shown tremendous leadership and willingness to accept any challenges that come his way.”
Nicholson began working at The First in 1998 in accounting and then as controller.
Later Nicholson relocated to work at Ocean Properties LLC as Controller and at Boston Partners Asset Management, where he assisted clients with their investment and insurance needs. In 2008, he returned to The First as business relationship officer of the Bar Harbor office and was most recently assistant vice president, business relationship officer.
In addition to serving the Bar Harbor community, Nicholson will oversee the management of business relationships throughout all of Hancock County.
