BLUE HILL — The public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library’s monthly Play Reading Group on Wednesday, May 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the library.
The play selected for this month is Joseph Kesselring’s “Arsenic and Old Lace” (1949).

The library is also hosting a workshop on Facebook for Seniors on Thursday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Participants may bring their own laptops, iPhones or iPads, or follow along with Lisa Arhontes-Marshall.
Arhontes-Marshall is the founder of Beehive Development, LLC, where she does small business consulting and project management.
The workshop is free, but space is limited. Participants are asked to register using the library’s interactive calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling 374-5515.
The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library’s monthly film series continues on Thursday, May 17, at 7 p.m. with George Stevens’ classic Western movie “Shane” (1953), starring Alan Ladd and Jack Palance.
All films are shown free of charge in the library’s Howard Room.
