BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island Hospital spring walking series will begin on Monday, May 7, sponsored by the hospital’s Wellness Program as weekly group walks through Acadia National Park and surrounding areas.
New this year, the group will meet at 8:30 a.m. in order to enjoy the cool of the morning and the tranquility of a quiet trail. A CPR-certified individual supervises all MDI Hospital-sponsored walks; that person will have a first aid kit and cell phone available. Participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear and dress in layers, and are encouraged to have water, snacks, insect repellant, and cameras.
