BANGOR — Righthanders Max Andrews and Jon Deschaine combined to pitch a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts as the John Bapst Crusaders downed the MDI Trojans 5-1 on Thursday for their fourth win without a loss.
Andrews struck out eight of the first 11 batters he faced, finishing with 10 strikeouts in his five innings.
The Crusaders came up with four runs in the third inning on three singles and a two-run double by Shawn Curran.
Jon Phelps had two singles and Ben Walls had a double for the Trojans.
