Hill, Hallet to wed

BAR HARBOR — Jill Froding Hill and Michael Ian Hallet are happy to announce their wedding date of Sept. 8, 2012. The honorable Jefferson Grant Dobbs of Bar Harbor will officiate the open celebration on the top of Cadillac Mountain at high noon.

Jill, of Freeport and Bar Harbor, is a design assistant at L.L. Bean. She grew up in Winterport, the daughter of Janet and Joel Froding. She has a sister, Joy, of Bar Harbor, and a brother, Joel P., of Los Angeles. She has two sons; Dustin, 24, married to Katie; and Noah, 21. Both men are proudly serving their country in the U.S. Navy.

Michael is the estate manager at East of Eden in Bar Harbor. He ran the wine and import shop Domus Isle for several years on Main Street. From “away,” he was born in Boston to Florence and Harry Hallet and moved to Maine when he was 2 months old. He has a brother, Stanley, married to Judy in Washington, D.C.; and a sister Eileen, married to Randy in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has two nephews, Jong Soo Hallet of Portland, and Daniel Gittens Stone of Boston.

The couple are planning a motorcycle ride to the top of Cadillac Mountain, meeting at 11 a.m. the day of the wedding at Thompson Island. All bikers who would like to join in the ride are encouraged to meet with them in the parking area. Dress: leather. Kickstands up at 11:30.
