ELLSWORTH — The 2012 Battle of the Bands, slated to take place this weekend at The Grand, was cancelled late last week after too few musical groups signed up.
The event has been an annual fund-raiser for the James Russell Wiggins Down East Family YMCA in Ellsworth. The event was scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at The Grand.
