Mother Seeks Help with Bullying Incident

WINTER HARBOR — A harried mother called police March 22 to complain that her 13-year-old son was bullying a younger brother.

Police said they talked to the teenager and told him he should not be disciplining his brother and that he should leave that to his parents.

Agency Assists

Police provided assistance March 24 when arrests were made at an underage drinking party in the granite quarry in Sullivan.

Police assisted Gouldsboro police March 31 in searching for three missing children. The children were later found walking on Chicken Mill Road in Gouldsboro, police said.

Police helped direct traffic April 13 during a fire in Winter Harbor that leveled a resident’s home.

Police provided back-up assistance April 14 in responding to a report of a domestic incident in Corea.

Police also assisted during a medical call at the Misty Harbor condominiums April 14.

Boat Escort

Police escorted a large boat March 22 from South Gouldsboro to Winter Harbor, where it was launched.

Failure to Locate

Police were asked March 25 to look for a man who works in Augusta but owns land in Winter Harbor.

Police said they failed to locate the 66-year-old man.

Fallen Tree

Police March 27 helped remove a tree that had fallen across Beach Street.

Lifeline Alarm

Police responded to a Lifeline activation April 2, but discovered the elderly man who was wearing it accidentally hit the alarm while getting out of the shower.

911 Hang-up

Police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Hillcrest Avenue, but said they discovered the number was dialed accidentally.

Car Off Road

Police were called April 6 about a car off the road near the entrance to Acadia National Park at Schoodic.

Police said by the time they arrived the car was gone.

Family Fight

Police were called to a home the morning of April 6 when two family members were arguing over a power of attorney issue.

Custody Question

A local woman called police April 8 questioning whether her former husband had the right to take their child for the day.

Police said the issue had to be dealt with in court.

Explosion Heard

Police received a call about 10 p.m. April 10 about a loud explosion on Birch Harbor Road followed by car tires squealing.

Police said the driver apparently had set off fireworks.

False Alarm

Police responded to a burglar alarm activation on Grindstone Neck but found nothing was awry.
