BAR HARBOR — A man who allegedly struck his girlfriend’s father with a car following a family argument in Bar Harbor was arrested by state police in Hancock some hours after the incident on Sunday.
According to police reports, Christopher Parsons, 23, of Bar Harbor, was leaving the Lupine Way residence with his girlfriend, in her car, when the victim tried to stop them. Mr. Parsons then allegedly backed the 1999 Pontiac into the victim before pulling out of the driveway. Mr. Parsons was arrested on a charge of assault with a motor vehicle. The victim received minor injuries.
A violent fight between a couple that began on the village green and continued in their nearby apartment ended with the woman being arrested on April 20. According to reports, Ana Biserova Radoslavova, 23, of Bar Harbor, tried to hit her husband with a frying pan, punched him and threatened him with a knife during the altercation. Ms. Radoslavova was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and taken by ambulance to the Mount Desert Island Hospital for an evaluation.
A middle-aged man slipped in the rain Saturday while throwing trash away at the transfer station and fell into the dump trailer. Emergency responders lowered two ladders into the trailer and brought the man up on a litter, according to reports. He suffered a dislocated shoulder in the fall.
Aaron Hilton, 30, of Waterville, was arrested Saturday on Route 102 on a charge of operating while under the influence OUI and was summonsed on charges of failure to display a valid state inspection sticker and failure to provide proof of insurance.
Greg Noble, 37, the owner of Little Anthony’s bar, was handed an administrative liquor law violation on April 18 for allowing a visibly intoxicated person to remain on the bar’s premises.
John N. Pette, 62, of Monroe, N.Y., was summonsed Saturday on Route 3 on a charge of speeding.
Two teenage boys were warned for trespassing and possession of tobacco products after police investigated noise behind the defunct Nakorn Thai restaurant on Cottage Street on Saturday.
A Main Street business reported April 20 that the front door lock had been filled with glue overnight.
Joann Dunton, 30, of Southwest Harbor, was summonsed April 17 on Eden Street on a motor vehicle window tint charge.
A man was warned for trespassing and sleeping in his vehicle at the corner of the Knox Road and Route 3 on Friday.
Matthew A. Hibbs, 32, of Trenton, was summonsed April 18 on a charge of failure to provide proof of insurance and was warned for failure to display a valid state inspection sticker and for operating with an expired registration.
Flooding was reported on the Eagle Lake Road, Liscomb Pit Road and Route 3 during Monday’s rainstorm. A tree was reported down on the Knox Road.
Several children from the Kid’s Corner day care center on the corner of Eden and Mount Desert Streets were spoken to by police after they allegedly entered a home on nearby Michigan Avenue and tried to take a cat. The children apparently thought the cat was theirs.
Police issued 31 warnings for speeding and other traffic violations this week.
Southwest Harbor
Police responded April 20 to a domestic disturbance at a Seawall Road residence where they found a teenager apparently unconscious. Emergency medical technicians arrived and determined the young woman allegedly was faking her condition.
The “unconscious” 18-year-old, Dominique Torrey of Southwest Harbor, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault. Police said Ms. Torrey is accused of assaulting her ex-boyfriend.
Scott Michaud, 40, of Mount Desert was arrested April 20 on a charge of OUI.
A caretaker for a Manset summer home reported April 20 that plants had been dug up from the lawn of the cottage.
Mount Desert
A motorcyclist sustained scrapes and bruises as the result of an April 17 crash in Somesville.
According to police, Jason Norwood, 17, of Bar Harbor, was passing a vehicle that had slowed to make a turn when he lost control of the 2007 Kawasaki he was riding. Damage to the motorcycle is estimated at $1,200.
A Mount Desert woman reported Monday that a man was on her property at 3:30 a.m. The man left on foot after the woman’s dog started barking.
Tremont
A pedestrian who found a hypodermic needle alongside the Tremont Road on Saturday flagged down Deputy Larry Fickett. The deputy disposed of the item.
An unspecified amount of cash and a safe were reported stolen April 16 from a Tremont residence.
Acadia National Park
A Bar Harbor man was arrested on a drunk driving charge and issued two summonses following a single vehicle traffic accident on the Park Loop Road on April 22.
According to Rangers, John Tercyak, 56, of Bar Harbor was at the wheel of a van that went off the road near Sand Beach. The van hit several granite coping stones lining the road and two wheels were torn off the van. Mr. Tercyak was arrested on a charge of OUI and summonsed on charges of operating without due care and operating without a license.
On April 21, Christine Lumino, 24, of Hampden, was summonsed by rangers on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
